Hello, my name is Ella, I am a 2026 graduate from Nottingham Trent University, after studying Costume Design and Construction. 
 
Throughout my life, I have been involved in the marching arts, doing Colourguard since 2008, as well as Drum Corps since 2012. My experiences have allowed me to wear and perform in many different colourguard costumes. After my nan taught me how to sew, I became fascinated by the behind-the- scenes of the creative and technical processes of costume creation, sparking my passion for sewing and design. During my final year at university, I specialised in dance costumes, constructing a chosen costume from the ten designs I had realised.

To continue my passion within the activity, I aspire to carry the knowledge I have gained throughout my marching career to the next generation of performers, through teaching as well as designing the costumes that they w ill perform in. I am now looking to continue to grow within the costume industry.
